SADACCA womens group attend the Great Yorkshire Show at

SEM’s Maxwell Ayamba took a groups of from Sheffield and District Afro-Caribbean Association to  had a great time learning how the agricultural industry manages the UKs rural spaces.

Having spent on average, over 50 years living in the UK, this was the first time that many of the group got a chance to connect with which reminded many of the rural spaces in the Caribbean.

Maxwell Visits Parliment

Maxwell Ayamba With Minister and MP Michael Ellis

On 10th July 2019 Maxwell Ayamba from SEM went to the Houses of Parliament in London to attend an event organised by the Ramblers Association for “Britain’s Best Walking Neighbourhood Award”, which was won by Falkirk in Scotland. The key note speaker was Minister of State at the Department of Transport and MP for Northampton North Michael Ellis

Mass Trespass Anniversary

Maxwell Ayamba from SEM attended the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the creation of National Parks in the UK. The celebration took place on Friday March 22nd 2009 at Castleton. 70 years ago the founding the ideas of a scheme of ‘National Parks allowing public to access the British countryside across the UK was inspired by an event called the ‘Mass trespass’, where groups of activist ramblers walked across private land.
