It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our trustee and Vice Chair, Mark Hutchinson.

After being diagnosed with cancer two years ago, Mark passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 20th September 2023.

Mark was shining light, and was beloved by many from all walks of life. Throughout his life Mark worked tirelessly to support causes that championed social justice for all, regardless of social, cultural or religious background, sexual orientation and gender.

Mark was a father, a historian, a teacher and a friend who will be deeply missed by us all at Sheffield Environmental Movement.

Mark is survived by his wife and two children.
